Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: This is a "new" 2004 Gibson Custom Shop '68 Les Paul Custom reissue with the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case. Beautiful high gloss natural finish flame top with "antique" creamy colored bindings! Serial Number 046XX8. I purchased this in 2006 after I sold my '69 Les Paul Custom, played it for about a half hour without a pick, and then put it away in a closet. The current economy forces me to offer it up for sale now, as I have done with much of my collection, even though I really hate to do it! Simply beautiful and without a scratch, it is a stunning guitar. Includes unused warranty card, owners information, picks, truss rod tool, braided cord, polishing cloth, certificate of authenticity, and all miscellaneous hang tags - full "case candy" as shown. The protective plastic is still on the pickguard. According to my digital postal scale this guitar weighs exactly 10 pounds, and it has the heavier more rounded 50's neck profile. It was purchased from another collector, and the photos were taken by him, as my camera just would not do this beautiful guitar justice. Current retail on these is $6000.00, and the best dealer price I've seen is $4200.00 if you can find one.
