Le Paul Guitar Auction: 04 Gibson Les Paul Classic Tom Holmes pups

Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 2004 Gibson Les Paul Classic with major upgrades. I bought this one a year ago and took it to my local Luthier to be checked out!! All was top notch ie the neck and everything worked as it should. My luthier observed this 9.4Lbs. serial #042513 Lespaul was an exceptional player. Not all Les Pauls are created equal. After putting in a Vintage Camel bone custom carved nut and installing new RS 500K super pots and the Famous Tom Holmes Potted 450 and 455 handmade Paf pickups, German made aluminum lightweight stop bar with a store full of guitar work that was overflowing ,he spent rest of the following day just playing this marvelous instrument!! He stated he had played a couple hundred Les Pauls in his shop and this one was exceptionally fine!!! He also wanted fiirst dibs if I ever wanted to sell it!!!. The frets show no signs of noticable wear and the guitar is totally set up with perfect intonation. Strings are 10's I have all the original stock parts for this guitar and all is included in the sale! If you want to set back up to factory stock you got it all. I also have the original 1960 engraved cream pick guard included. I bought a new Gibson cream guard for use. I waited 7 months for the Tom Holmes pups and they are fine,none better!!! This guitar although is a great player it is not a museum piece! There are a couple indents on the Base side edge and 2 blems on the top . One next to the bottom corner of the neck pup. This looks like a buffed out scratch in the clear coat and is in the pics. The second blem looks like a drop of clear coat half the size of a pencil eraser 1/2 inch below the stop bar . These are only cosmetic and does not detract fom the extraordinary playabillity of the guitar! there are some light scratches on the back only in the clear . Other stock Classics are selling for 1700-2100. with out all these high quality upgrades let alone the wait time to ghet the Tom Holmes pups and the down time to have aluthier install it all!!!So don't wait 6 months for Tom Holmes this one is ready to go. If I don't sell at this auction I will sell the Tom's for $650. in a separate sale later and list this guitar again with all the stock parts at a lower price. Continental US only sale .
