It has seen plenty of action after the refin and doesn't appear to be a broken and repaired TV JR! I would like to point out this is not a refinished Sunburst JR and originally was a TV Jr! This one was owned by a very well known guitarist who is currently plays guitar and bass for one of the most well known musicians out there and will come with a picture of him with this guitar. Okay, the guitar....As stated it has an old refin. The only changes I can see is that the body at the pickup cavity has been deepened at the ears and the studs a bit deeper into the body. This was done to clear the pickup which in 1956 was move forward a bit. This was a common fix for 1956 Jr's. The pickup is original and reads a healthy 8.35k at the output jack. The volume pot is original and the tone is a high end replacement. The cap is a nos 50's with the correct value. The output jack is a newer switchcraft. The jackplate is newer as well. It has been refretted with large frets, but the Brazilian Rosewood fretboard was not sanded or reshaped. The tuners are aged repro's and no reaming or other type of tuners have been on or installed. The neck is nice and straight and the neck itself is nice and chunky and with a C profile. The action is low, but not super low and plays flawlessly. The headstock logo has been replaced with an exact replica. The knobs are newer speed knobs...the Pickguard, Truss Rod Cover, Back Plate are original, as are the strap buttons, studs, wraptail. This guitar kicks arse and has only the tone a real 50's Les Paul can produce. It ships in a newer TKL Hardshell case. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!
