Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Here you have an ORIGINAL 1956 Gibson Les Paul Special - vintage guitar. This is NOT a reissue or replica. It is an extremely rare find that is in excellent condition. This guitar is original natural Limed Mahogany. This is a great looking, fantastic playing and sounding original vintage guitar. The body, neck, frets, P-90 'soap bar' pick-ups, Brazilian Rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, volume and tone controls and knobs, pick-up selector switch, jack and jack plate, all inner working untouched electronics including solder joints are all original and in beautiful working condition. Non-original parts: Leo Quan BadAss bridge (this is an upgraded bridge of the time period that is commonly used which allows for each individual string to be fine tuned at the tail piece), after market Kluson gears (like the originals and of the time period) and vintage hard case for this guitar also of the time period. Please note that there is a small 1 cm. nick on the front of the body, 3.5 cm. above the lower pickup. There are a few smaller obvious chips on the front and back of the body and on the headstock.
