Le Paul Guitar Auction: 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard with Bigsby Tremelo NICE!

2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard with Bigsby Tremelo NICE! Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Up for auction is this very nice 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard that I bought new in early 2005. It was a holdover from a small Mom and Pop music store.I am the original and only owner. The guitar has not been played much because shortly after I bought a '57 Reissue that became my main guitar. I didnt play it for several years and then decided to add a Bigsby to it so that it would get played more. I did play it for awhile but just dont need the Bigsby very often so its sat in the case for most of its life. I need transportation worse than I need several guitars so Im selling this along with some other guitar equipment and a vintage Gibson amp to help fund it.I had added a couple of features when I bought it that improved, in my opinion, the performance and usefulness of the guitar. I added new Seymour Duncan Antiquities pickups and CTS 500K pots. The taper is much better on these pots than the original ones. The pickups are great and have a very nice agressive growl. Look up some reviews of them and you'll see that everybody likes them. They are nickle plated so do have some of the corrosion so common with nickle. It doesnt take long with nickle. Sorry I dont have the original pickups or pots as I gave them to a friend who was hand building a Les Paul from scratch. I added Dunlop Straplocks when I got it but dont have the original strap buttons either. The original pickguard is also included however it is broke at the top sharp corner. I preferred the look of the Bigsby with the guard off so never bothered replacing it.There is virtually no fret wear on the original frets. The neck is arrow straight and the action is very nice....smooth and low. It is actually better than my '57 but I like the neck better on my ReIssue. There are no buzzes or rattles even with the Bigsby which was added by me. I bought it new and still have the box it came in although I did not include a picture of it. I can send it if the buyer wants. I also have the original Tailpiece and studs if the buyer would like to switch back to original. The only issue would be two screw holes that would be visible if done so. They would not affect playability or sound. The Bigsby does tremelos very nicely and stays in tune excellent. All pots and the switch work flawlessly with no scratchiness or anything undesireable. The ONLY issues with the body are minor. There is a small amount of worming in the middle of the back from playing with a button shirt. It should be visible in one of the pictures. It does not go through the finish at all and is pretty mild but does cover an area about 4 1/2" in diameter. There is also a single dent that is on the top side of the rear bout. About 3/8" long, it is fairly deep as dents go but does not penetrate the finish and is not cracked or loosening the finish in any way. Those are the only marks on the body. There is no cracking, finish checking, binding chips or cracks anywhere that I can see. The headstock is dent free around the edges, and there are no neck finish cracks or chips whether at the heel at the body, on the binding or at the headstock. I take VERY GOOD care of my instruments and it shows. My reserve is $1200 which I think is more than reasonable. The case is in excellent condition and is the desireable brown version with pink lining and shroud. All in very good shape. All latches and hinges are excellent and so is the handle. The lock has never been used. All paperwork is included from when I buy it. I have the original receipt if that is desired too. I have tried to provide as many detailed shots that I can, but realize my camera isnt the greatest. If somebody wants a better shot of an area just ask.If you have any questions, just ask. I will answer as quickly and honestly as I can. If I have missed anything, let me know and I will get the info up as quick as possible. I have 100% feedback and work hard to keep it. I have never had a package or item returned because I describe every flaw and detail that I can to instill confidence in the buyer that he knows exactly what he is getting. I would expect the same when Im buying something. Thanks for looking.,br>
