Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Beautiful 2007 '59 Reissue Historic Cherry Burst Les Paul With Throbak Pickups!!! You are bidding on a beautiful 2007 1959 reissue Les Paul. This Les Paul was purchased by me from Vic DaPra brand new. This killer guitar has maybe the most realistically vintage color and flame that I have ever seen on an Historic Les Paul. The cherry color is deep and much darker than many of the "Washed Cherry" guitars that come out of the custom shop; You know the ones....with the bright red and yellow base color.....that remind you of your favorite circus clown?Let me just say....I picked this guitar because its figure was so vintage looking...mismatched sides with a very cool blank spot on the bass side adjacent to the waist of the guitar; straight out of the BOTB (Beauty of the Burst ) book!!Neck is ramrod straight!Serial number is 9 7216. Plekked before shipping this guitar plays and feels like an old friend with a very comfortable "C" shaped neck....perfect size for an Historic! The action is low and the shallow neck angle allows the ABR1 to sit close to the deck which lends to this guitars woody tone and with 10's it is so easy to bend!!The fretboard is a deep dark brown, and is nice and smooth! The electronics have been upgraded with CTS 500K pots, vintage Sprague caps, 50's wiring and the best part are the two Throbak SLE 101 ltd Pickups.Pickups read 7.6K bridge and 8.2K neck and one of the magnets has been flipped for the Peter Green OOP tone I love!!I think the tone of this guitar kills: very resonant, woody and powerful with a lot of bloom, very balanced, the high B and E ring nice and fat with just enough brightness and bite on top to cut through the mix. You may listen to many audio/video clips on YouTube. My YouTube ID is "skydog46"!!I really hate to part with this guitar, and want to see her go to a good home!! There are two dings which I have tried to show in my pictures. One is on the edge of the moustache, and one just below the treble knob.I do not baby my guitars, I play them...there are a few rivet marks on back and other very small dings on the top all from normal wear and tear.I have a zillion pics of this axe so don't hesitate to ask if there is something in particular you'd like to see. This is an exceptional historic with one of the best and most vintage figure and finishes I've ever seen.Guitar weighs about 9.4lbs. I have priced it accordingly..I have the original COA, and will ship in a very nice SFK case. Schaller strap-lock buttons have been installed. This guitar will be professionally packed and shipped fully insured for $65.00.Payment Options:I accept the following forms of payment: PayPal. Ê
