Le Paul Guitar Auction: Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Plus AAA

Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Plus AAA Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Up for auction is a 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard in excellent condition with a very nice flametop. I have put a lot of research and work into this guitar to make it a players dream. It has been built to as closely replicate a 57-59' paul as closely as possible using higher quality components than the current re-issues come with. The bridge pickup is a Gibson 57' Classic Plus. The neck pickup is a Gibson 57' Classic. The volume pots are 500K RS Guitarworks Superpots made by CTS. The tone pots are 500k CTS pots. The capacitors are 1956-1960 BumbleBee reproduction paper in oil caps made by Luxe. They are the only true Bumblebee reproduction cap made. The 3-way toggle is made made Switchcraft. It was wired by a professional using high grade solder following vintage style wiring schematics. All of this was done to create an instrument with true vintage tones but can also deliver great modern tones as well. It's very much so a players guitar. The upgraded electronics allow the guitar to clean up VERY nicely by just rolling back on the volume controls. The tone controls work very well ( unlike current production Les Pauls ) and give a great amount of tonal control without ever getting muddy. The only guitars I have played that respond this well are my PRS artist models. You will love the control this baby offers. As for the condition of the guitar itself..... I would say it is in excellent-VERY good condition. There are your typical very light swirl marks from picking on the top. These are to minor to be able to see in pictures or even in person unless you're holding the guitar under a light for inspection. In normal viewing conditions the top looks mint. The are also marks on the back. Once again, they won't show in the pictures even though I'm using a Nikon D90 SLR. They were caused by a very small belt buckle THROUGH a shirt. The finish was not penetrated. There are NO gouges. The marks are more like very light impressions. Once again, under normal viewing conditions the back of the guitar looks quite nice and the beautiful wood grain shows through very nicely. I only mention these things for the sake of full disclosure. The pictures give a very good representation of the guitars condition. The original pots, caps, and switch are included as well as the packaging for their replacement counterparts. So is the original hard shell case. I do not have the original pickups or the packaging for the new ones.I would absolutely NOT be selling this guitar if I didn't have to pay for my new Two Rock amp. While this guitar is not 100% original, it was built to represent what an original Les Paul should be. If you want Custom Shop tone and playability without the absurd price tag this is the instrument for you. The winner is going to love this piece !Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.Ships to lower 48 states only, flat rate of $75.00, professionally packed and fully insured for purchase price. Payment is only accepted through paypal and is expected within 3 days of the auction ending. Thanks, and happy bidding !
