Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Up for auction is a VERY RARE 1998 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom Florentine in Fireburst Red finish with Flame Top. This Model has a maple top with f holes, incredible mahogany back, sides and neck, bound ebony fret board, mother of pearl inlay on fret board and head stock, long neck tenon, 60's slim neck, Grover tuning keys, gold hardware, 57 Classic pickups and Gibson Custom Shop hard shell case. Very few of these were made by Gibson and the quality rivals any guitar made on earth. I have never owned a more perfectly finished and beautiful guitar. These pictures do not truely display the flame in the top or the beautiful color contrasts in the finish.This Florentine is in new condition. NEVER PLAYED!!! NO WEAR ON THE GOLD FINISH, NO MARKS and NO FRET WEAR. The mahogany wood used on the neck and back is stunning. All binding is perfect and crisp!!Sounds similar to a Les Paul Custom and Gibson ES 335. Weighs about 2 pounds less than a solid body Les Paul Custom.These are very difficult to find in any condition much less like new. A great guitar to collect as an investment or play.
