Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Andrewabr Store For sale is a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop with original Gibson hardshell case. Still gotta love the classics right? Nothing beats the looks and tone of a USA Les Paul and this one smokes. These new burstbuckers that the factory installs in the Standards are one of the best passive humbuckers right now. That bridge just rips through the mix with crisp/clear tone and make the most basic power chord sound really full. I don't use my neck pick up all that much but I had a blast testing it out and going through all my old jazz riffs. It has that nice rounded mids and lows with no muddiness at all. I broke out my old Rat pedal to see how it would handle that and to my surprise the tone stayed nice and strong. It sounded pretty close to that super distorted Dinosaur Jr. when I really cranked it, but use that neck pup and back down the gain and you get a much more classic Who type feel. This is not chambered so expect that big Gibson sustain.Condition is excellent. A solid 8 - 9 out of 10 because I can make out 2 tiny dings on the front, back has some buckle rash, and the bottom of the binding needs a good buffing to get out some small black marks. I was able to most of it off with just some basic guitar cleaner so it should not be an issue. Tuners are excellent, rosewood board is clean, frets have almost no wear, and neck is straight.I will ship worldwide but please make sure the country you reside in will accept a box that is 46",19",7".
