Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Up for auction is a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top in great condition. This Deluxe has some very interesting customizations. The neck and body are bound in Brazilian rosewood (which i have never seen, usually they are all plastic) and the tuners seem to be factory installed Grovers instead of the Klusons which normally should have come with the instrument. In addition, it has first fret custom inlay either added at build time or sometime in the 70s. The person I bought the guitar from had it since 78 and says that the inlay was there from the time he got it. This guitar has obviously been refinished by a professional, but it's a spectacular player and looks and sounds great. It comes with the hard case shown. I'm not sure if this is the original case for it, but it does have the same wear as you would see from a case from the same age as the guitar. I'm not positive but it think the bridge may have been replaced, it does not seem to have the original age of the rest of the hardware. The truss rod cover was broken at some point and put back together.I am not a Gibson expert, but i will try to answer any questions you might have.
