Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: I am the original owner of this beauty. This is in pristine, EXCELLENT condition. It has never been played out, much less played at all. This is a 2003 model and it has pretty much stayed in the case unplayed, and the case itself was covered most of the time. The pickguard still has the protective plastic on it. Comes with LPB-7 Certificate of Authenticity from Gibson Custom Art and Historic division, as well as the OHSC. This is a great guitar for the player, investor, or collector that wants a high quality, investment-grade instrument. As you know, you can't go wrong with investing in any Les Paul Custom, let alone a Historic Custom Shop instrument.The tone on this is very very dark. So this works well with anything from smokey blues to brutal crushing dropped tuned metal. If you are looking for a spanking bright Tele or Strat tone, you need to get a Tele or a Strat.I'm sure you know the equivalent of this runs way over $4k new. Save a lot and make a great investment at the same time!It is in EXCELLENT condition! I will, however, point out some additional characteristics; (1) it has some barely noticeable hair lining due to being tried out in the store, but this was high up near the ceiling and hardly ever handled, I do emphasize BARELY noticeable, as I can't even capture a photo of it, (2) there's an area near the binding on the end of the headstock that looks like there might have been some overrun of binding cement. I do show this in one of the photos. I did want to point that out to people that might perceive that as an imperfection, (3) in the same photo there is also some checking on the front of the headstock. This is the only area of checking on the guitar.This has been stored only in my pet free and smoke free home.
