Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 1982 Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80 Elite with Original Hardshell CaseThese Limited Edition Heritage 80 Guitars are about as close to comes to the real 1959 Burst Standard. This is the Elite model so it a 1 piece mahogany neck and not the 3 piece neck the Heritage Standard 80's have. And also with the elites a quilt top. I know spec wise the later reissues were a little closer. But, in my opinion these are closer in looks their fade, and sound to it's big brother. The ebony fingerboard and frets are in good condition. The neck is straight with no issues. This guitar has that perfect 59 profile neck, tarnishing to the nickel hardware it's dings, scratches, and wear here and there. Original Tim Shaw Pickups. They have that raw PAF sound famous with the 59's. A raw resonant twang I like to call it. The bridge pickup I am not able to take out all the way with the ring on and a little worried about taking the ring off and not being able to get the pickups screws back in to the surround. I can though lift it up high enough to see the Patent Pending Number stamp though. The guitar weighs 11 lbs. Serial number in the photos real visible. On the back of the headstock there is a very small line that can be seen in the photos. This is microns in depth. And can be only seen at certain angles. No break in anyway. Just need to mention and describe it. There are no breaks or repairs to the guitar.
