Le Paul Guitar Auction: Gibson 1971 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar

Gibson 1971 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: This is a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Standard. I found this guitar in pretty rough shape and have gone through the process of making it an outstanding player's guitar. It has an original Gibson humbucker in the bridge, as well as a vintage DiMarzio in the neck position. When I purchased the guitar the wiring had been largely hacked up with an added coil tap switch and the changed pickup; I had my luthier replace all of the wiring and pots with top quality parts. He also refretted the guitar so the frets are brand new. The added switch was removed and a temporary plug was installed, so if you want to add a switch or coil tap later, it would be easy to do. The neck was broken and has been professionally repaired (VERY common on Les Pauls); it is strong as new and very, very solid. It appears that the neck was over-sprayed at some point in the past. This guitar had a recent setup, brand new frets, and all the wiring has been put back to its proper factory specs. This is a great playing and sounding guitar with that vintage vibe that everyone is looking for. Don't overpay for a guitar aged in a factory...get this guitar with real provenance for a much more reasonable price. I am happy to ship internationally for actual shipping costs, but please contact me first so we can discuss the cost. Take advantage of the weak dollar to get a great vintage guitar.
