Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom Guitar(Serial # 500289)I purchased this beautiful Les Paul Black Beauty in May of 1969, so I am its original owner. I was a music instructor at the time of purchase and took immaculate care of it. It has super-fast action and plays as effortlessly today as it did in 1969. In 1972, I had to concentrate on college and haven't played it much since then. Now, I own 8 guitars and it is still my favorite, but with grand-kids around, I never bring it out. It needs a home that will allow it to scream again! As you can see from the pictures, it has a few small nicks on the body and a few belt buckle marks on the back, but nothing major. I was surprised how pronounced they seem in the pictures since they are hardly noticeable with the naked eye. The gold plated pickups, tuning keys, and bridge are in very good shape (see pictures). It has been stored in a smoke-free environment and in its original gold-lined case since its purchase. As you can see from the pics, the case is in great shape as well!!
