Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 1990 Gibson Les Paul Classic - Heritage Cherry Sunburst - EXCELLENT CONDITION - Hardly a scratch, dent or ding on this guitar! Unbelievable condition for a 21 year old Guitar. 100% STOCK - Original Case / Includes pickguard - It was never installed, the wholes were drilled, but the pickguard was never used - but you could add it to the guitar if you would like. 1990 is a special year for these guitars - It was the first year they were made, and there are a few small details about this guitar that make it unlike any of the other Classic's that were built after 1991 This one has a super low serial # 0 246 I took the pictures of the guitar with my iPhone - it's all I have at the moment, but seriously, feel free to email and ask for more pictures because I have about 50 of them. I took pictures of every square inch of this beautiful guitar - She will be missed dearly! (I'm moving to Austin TX to pursue a dream - I need the money for the move) I bought this guitar a long time ago from the original owner ... I have cared for her dearly!!! SHE HAS NO BREAKS, REPAIRS, or CHIPS anywhere on her! You will seriously have a hard time finding another 21 year old guitar that has been kept this clean!!! "The Classic wasn't exactly a faithful reissue by today's standards, but it was a Pre-Historic Arts / Custom Shop Model in it's earliest years (1990-91) It boasted a thin headstock, ABR-1, thin cutaway binding, pearloid tuners, a "1960" etched on the pickguard, and non-aged trapezoid inlays. Later, they put Classic instead of Model on the head stock, and began aging the inlays to a greenish color. Most believe that because of the quality and materials that were used that the earliest LP Classic models are far superior than any to date after or around 1992." From Gibson concering the serial number: Les Paul Classic: This model features an ink stamped serial number with no "MADE IN USA" (just as we used on the original 1952-1960 Les Pauls). Most will be 5 to 6 digits in length, but the earliest examples feature 4 digit serial numbers. There should be a space after the 1st digit with the 4 and 5 digit serial numbers, and no space with the 6 digit numbers. The 1st digit indicates the year of manufacture for the 4 & 5 digit serial numbers, these were used from 1989-1999. The 1st and 2nd indicate the year of manufacture for the 6 digit serial numbers which we've been using since 2000. Examples - 9 xxx = 1989 (4 digit number beginning with "9" used only in 1989) 0 xxxx = 1990 9 xxxx = 1999 00xxxx = 2000 05xxxx = 2005 SHIPPING: I WILL SHIP TO THE LOWER 48 STATES ONLY!!!
