Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Genuine Gibson Les Paul Standard made with pride in America. Specifically, a 2007 LesPaul Standard Faded model with a killer flame top, a Heritage Cherry finish, and a thin satin finish that gives it a very desirable vintage look, feel & voice. That is why these are becoming very rare and collectible after Gibson discontinued making them. It has not been relic-ed at all, it's just smooth as silk everywhere including the neck. All nitrocellulose, and no high-gloss sticky finishes. It has a chambered body for comfort and a very nice rich tone, which accentuate the incredibly dynamic pickups to give a killer tone for rock, blues, jazz, or anything that requires some spice.The Burstbucker Pro pickups haveAlnico V magnets, producing that vintage Les Paul tone with nearly limitless sustain. I don't have the exact weight, but it is probably on the lighter end of the scale for this model. I hand-picked this one myself because of it's perfect balance of tone, comfort and look. It really is a stunning guitar. The top, neck, and frets are all in beautiful condition. It has never been gigged, and has been in my living room or studio since I bought it. The back has a small dark spot and some buckle rash from normal use over 4 years. There is one scratch that winds it's way across roughly 3/4 of the back. The headstock has a small ding on the back (top-left) and a small chip in the finish on the front (right above the G string). I tried to capture the only real "blemishes" as best as I could on the photos, but please feel free to ask if you would like additional details or photos. It comes from a smoke-free home, and has been very well cared for. It is currently strung with new DR Pure Blues 11's. All parts are original, with the exception of the control knobs which were changed from gold to amber. One of the knobs has a little ding on it. The guitar comes with an NON-ORIGINAL HARD SHELL CASE. It say's Gibson USA on it, but I'm quite certain it is a knock-off. The exterior of the case had a whole punched through it (roughly the size of a dime), which is how it was when I got the case at a garage sale. The inside is in great shape, and a perfect fit for the guitar. I hope this guitar finds a proper owner who will love and enjoy it as much as I have.
