In fact, this guitar was never played on a gig and was rarely played since being bought new at Manny's in New York in early 1986. I just put a new set of D'Addario strings on her, and she sounds absolutely outstanding; Les would be proud.If you don't already know how good a Gibson Les Paul Custom of this vintage sounds, then don't waste your time or mine asking about it. Ask a friend who knows, or go to a trusted music store and ask someone there.This is not a kid's toy. This is both a very fine musical instrument and a great investment, since this baby is going to become a "Classic" in about 4 years.The serial number indicates this beauty was made on June 10, 1985 at the (then nearly new) Gibson facility in Nashville, TN.It is totally original.
