Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 2003 Gibson R9 1959 Reissue Les Paul2003 Gibson Historic R9 1959 Reissue Custom shop Les Paul Made in the USA, Dark Sunburst. This is as close as you can get to a real burst! 2003 was an incredible year for Les Paul Reissues, this does not have a Brazilian rosewood fretboard but it does have a Madagascar Rosewood Fretbaord! The finish is all original! Naturally aged and checked, no razorblade checking, it aged like an original 59' Les Paul. This guitar is not Mint or pristine, it has been played, there are some nicks and digs, no worming on the back most of the chips are on the sides. On a scale from 1-10, I would give it a solid 8. The guitar has a great 1959 profile. The guitar is pictured with the aged tuners, it will not be shipped with them, it will come with the original Historic Tuners. Comes complete with all the hangtags and Custom Shop case. The guitar weighs 9 Pounds 2 Ounces. The figure on the top looks like a real burst!
