Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: FOR SALE: 2006 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Historic Reissue VOS R7 Goldtop. Well here is the story, I hate to do this but I have a new baby on the way and I have to make some sacrifices! I am the original owner, I purchased this guitar brand new in 2006 from Wildwood Guitars in Colorado. Steve is a great guy if you ever get the chance to deal with him. This has been my main touring guitar for the past 5 years. You can see in the pics that it has some body wear. Why pay extra for a Murphy Aged when I did it for you on stages all across the US. This guitar is a war horse!!! There is worming on the back, I tried to capture it in a photo but with no luck. Underneath the worn part of the guitar is some checking that looks really cool. You might be able to see it in the close up of the worn part. I decided to include some pics from shortly after I purchased the guitar so you could see how the worn spot started (from heavy rocking!) Other than the noticeable wear there are some very minor dings and dents but, this guitar simply put ROCKS! No breaks! Neck is straight and I do all of my own set up. Currently stringed with 10's and intonation is spot on! I hand picked this guitar after trying out 18 different RI VOS R7's and 12 VOS R8's. This is the one that sung! Acoustically loud, just great wood on this guitar! Weighs in at 9.6. I have upgraded the guts listed here. RSVintage Upgrade Kit (Volume and Tone pots, oil and paper caps.) Upgraded custom wound pickups, Marshall Heads with Alnico V magnets from Scott Wolfe of Wolftone Pickups out of Washington, pretty much a PAF clone with just a bit more bite and growl. Strap locks and strap included. Comes with the original custom shop case. I just moved and have not yet unpacked the Certificate of Authenticity, but will hopefully have it for you, although I can't guarantee I will find it in time to ship it with the guitar when you win the bid. But I will get it to you! Not sure what else I should say other than I hate to see my baby go, but someone is going to get a great deal! Any questions? Just ask me....
