Le Paul Guitar Auction: Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 Guitar W/Hardshell Case

Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: For sell is a Vintage Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Classic with original Gibson case in fantastic shape. The guitar is Les Paul all the way; cream body and nubbed neck binding, vulcanite head stock overlay, carved rock maple neck. The only marks on the guitar are very minor. I have tried to capture one of the two equally sized marks in a picture. I have seen worst on new show room ones. Not shown in the pictures is the neck adjustment wrench, which is included. The guitar comes from a smoke free environment and has zero fret wear. The guitar neck really does have the feel of a 60's Les Paul and has excellent action. The original pickups sounded as if I was playing through a built in fuzz box, so I upgraded with Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers. They were designed jointly by Seymour and humbucker inventor, the late Seth Lover. Just like the original 1955 P.A.F.s, they utilizes a nickel silver cover and long-legged nickel silver bottom plate, butyrate plastic bobbins, plain enamel wire, Alnico 2 bar, wooden spacer, and black paper tape. To be completely true to the original design and tone, the pickup is not wax potted. The tone is vintage P.A.F. Even the cover are unpotted as in the original, so the covers can be removed ala Jimmy Paige. They also have the vintage style single conductor cable standard. Here is absolutely the best thing about the guitar, only 9 pounds "definitely on the low end for a Les Paul" without weight relief holes to create that undue resonance at the most inappropriate frequencies and times. The above is an absolute requirement for any guitar I have ever built or purchased. If you need a pack mule to carry it on stage it defeats the purpose of a band instrument. Comes with fitted Gibson Les Paul hardshell case. My feed back was perfect until recently, when a child decided to treat me as a wal-mart lay-a-way. He purchased an item from me and after repeated invoices and unreturned calls, I decided to re-list the item. If he would have contacted me, I would not have objected to a bit more time to receive payment. Besides, he must have been using his mothers account, since there were only 10 transactions ($10 or under), all for porcelain nick knacks, so don't judge me to harshly, "I AM NOT A MONSTER". All you can see is the reflections off of a pine tree, light, etc., in the lacquer finish. Do not mistake these as the imperfection. The guitar was produced in 2000. The 1st and 2nd indicate the year of manufacture for the 6 digit serial numbers which gibson had been using since 2000 on the classic series. This model features an ink stamped serial number with no "MADE IN USA" "even though it is" (just as gibson used on the original 1952-1960 Les Pauls). This guitar is not chambered "weight relief".
