Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Up For Bid NO RESERVE AUCTION $1 Opening bidThis is killing me but I must sell. I was in GC today shopping for a used Les Paul for a session and gig I have this weekend. I was looking for a good LP Standard and really did not find one that was what I wanted. I was getting ready to plug in a used PRS and low and behold there was a Goldtop sitting at the trade in station. I went over and asked if the guitar was for sale and they said in a few minutes. Patiently waiting I observed the well played patina the guitar had and the color looked real good. It looked to be to old to be a Historic and I new it was not a real vintage 57. When I was allowed to pick it up I realized it was a 2001 Historic but it looked so old and played in. I asked what the deal was and the GC guy told me it was just traded and was owned by Buddy Guy and a few other artist and it had been around the world a couple of times on tour. By this point I was foaming at the mouth and plugged her in to find an AMAZING playing and sounding guitar that looked and felt like many of the vintage 50's LP's I have owned. Just so you know I have bought and sold over 10 Historic LP's and dozens of vintage so you could say I have seen a few. Needless to say I bought the guitar on the spot took it back to my shop and gave it a set up with 11's. I will be tuning a half step down for my gig and session. The guitar is simply the best Historic and one of the best sounding LP's I have ever owned. I hate to sell it but Come Monday my work will be done and I will be back to playing my trusty Strat. If you want a real vintage looking and feeling guitar you have found it. Checking, Greening, Nicks, Dings, Belt Rash it has it all. Not some cheesey RELIC job but rather a guitar that has been played more in the last 10 years than most get in 35 years. This guitar has good original frets w/ small dents in the first few nothing major. 8.6 lbs, all original less PG, switch tip and the tuners which are Gibson Deluxe found on most LP Standards. The peg head holes were enlarged. I will say it stays in tune great. All else original including pots and 57 Classics. There is no paperwork, no hard case, just a gigbag. You guys can set the price on this GEM. I can PROMISE who ever ends up with this guitar will be AMAZED..... Don't spend $2995 on a new 57 VOS as this guitar is in a different league. I accept paypal and ship USPS priority mail domestic $59 and international $299 and higher depending on your countryOn Sep-15-11 at 20:48:25 PDT, seller added the following information:Click to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize imageClick to open supersize image
