This guitar was purchased new the week of Christmas in 2005 by a wealthy female for her son-in-law and before she had the chance to give it to him, he betrayed the daughter and mom left it in the closet the last 6 years unplayed and never touched. The guitar is literally in brand new condition and not a single mark on it anywhere... flawless.... no excuses. Not even a mark on the frets and still has factory strings. The guitar has a nice neck profile that is somewhere between a 60's slim and the fat profile of my 2011 Traditional model. Probably what they considered a 50's neck in 2005.The guitar is completely stock and comes with the original hard shell case, which is in flawless conditon as well. All factory paperwork is included. If you could jump in a time machine and travel back to 2005 to buy a black Les Paul Standard, that would be cool... but instead of all that, just bid on this beauty because the end result is the same.
