This is the '10 Gibson USA Custom Shop Les Paul. 24/75" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. 9.8 lbs. The Gibson Les Paul has been synonymous with rock for over a half century. And no guitar is more recognizable than the Les Paul Custom. This 2010 takes it a bit further with its gorgeous flame maple top, wine red finish, and gold hardware. This is a real head turner. But how does it sound? Pure heaven. The body and neck are each made out of solid mahogany. Add to that the fact that the Custom isn't chambered- it's weight relieved- leaving more wood to bring that classic Gibson tone. The resonance and tone transfer here are second to none. The maple top is hand carved- ther maple adds high end while the hand carving makes for an incredible look. The 498 humbucker in the bridge brings you awesome PAF tone with a bit more output. Perfect rhythm crunch with enough output for searing lead work. The 490 neck pickup is pure Gibson bliss- thick creamy seemingly endless sustain. The perfect pairing. The neck here has a rounded profile. An exceptional blend of a 50's & 60's neck. Thinner than a 50's but slightly rounder than a 60's. Incredibly comfortable. As for the aesthetics...well...just look at this beauty! This Custom is in mint condition- unplayed. This auction includes the original hardshell case, COA, switchtip, and all paperwork.
