Thanks!Questions? 609 634 0648 Excellent PLUS condition 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard GOLDTOP. *Not* a routed Deluxe. This axe was born a Standard meaning it was equipped with full sized humbuckings from the factory. I'm listing this as a player only because there was a Kahler which was removed and a maple block perfectly fitted in it's place. The top was then professionally refinished in Bullion Gold. The work is barely noticable (see pics). Some beautiful craftsmanship here! The top is in near perfect condition with no dings, scratches, etc. The remainder of the axe has a small bit of player wear which lends some vibe. Overall, much less wear than most guitars of this vintage.Medium profile neck. Frets are original and in nice shape with nominal wear in the cowboy chord area. No buzzing or fretting out. The Grover style tuners keep it in tune rock solid.Straight 3 piece maple neck. One piece body (not a pancake). Weighs 10 pounds on the dot but sounds like 2 tons. No swiss cheese here as this is a real Les Paul! Equipped with a great sounding set of USA DiMarzios and a superb set of Angela PIO tone caps. Neck measures 7.8K ohms and bridge measures 11.8K.All pots date to '78. Pick-ups are wired out of phase. Sounds great like this and very easy to change back if you want the standard middle position sound. All work was professionally done and this axe sounds incredible plugged in! Great bottom end and silky highs. Not muddy at all. Very resonate when played acoustically, too. The timber has seasoned nicely over the last 3 plus decades.Controls work perfectly with no static or noise. Neck is straight and it plays perfectly with low, comfortable action. Truss rod adjusted, pick-ups balanced, intonation set. Just set-up with new .010's. Ready to play.Vintage Gibson hardshell case with blue interior in servicable condition included. Protects the guitar perfectly. Needs 2 latches (easy fix) but the hinges, other 2 latches and handle work fine. Tolex has lots wear on the outside, but it is still solid.No cracks, No breaks, No issues! Overall, a gorgeous 32 year old vintage Goldtop just waiting for a player who can appreciate the immense tone a vintage axe like this has to offer.
