Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: Vintage 1980 GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITAR, YELLOW, USA click picture to enlarge Very cool vintage 1980 Gibson Les Paul Custom in yellow finish. Serial number 80460618, made in USA.Overall a very nice vintage Custom with tons of mojo and vibe. And heavy, it weighs a little over 12 pounds.Guitar does have some custom replacement parts. The truss rod cover sports a womans name, the electronic cavity covers were replaced, the knobs and the tailpiece was replaced with a fine tuning one. I think the pickup covers are also replacements but I am not positive. All the upgrades are done very well.Guitar has some lite scratches from use and some buckle rash on the back. There are two surface finish cracks on the top. The back of the neck at the 9th fret has some wear, looks like from a capo.Neck is straight and true and the frets have little play wear with tons of life in them. Guitar is built like a tank and plays and sounds great. The finish looks great and the binding has yellowed nicely over the years.Overall a great vintage Gibson.Comes in a non original moulded case from about the same period. The interior was foam but has since been removed. I will pack very well inside the case and the shipping box. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
