Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: 1976 GIBSON Les Paul Standard GoldtopMade in KALAMAZOO - One of only a couple dozen shipped that year!I wish I could say that this guitar was 100% original - but I can't. The guitar is as it was when I got it, however, some parts were replaced. The tuners were replaced with Grover Deluxe - the pickups were changed to a GIBSON USA embossed (neck) and a Gibson sticker (bridge) - bridge is not original or the switch tip - all else appears to be original to the guitar. The frets are the original frets and appear to have been recrowned and leveled - they are in nice shape with NO grooves or wear at all.The guitar plays and sounds GREAT with very low, fast action which is why I didn't bother to restore it back to having the correct parts. This guitar has been played but It's in VERY GOOD CONDITION. The top has a couple scratches and some minor dings but there is no greening or checking. Very COOL vintage Goldtop! The back has scratches and minor rash with nothing through the finish. There's one spot where the top of the neck meets the body that the clear coat has chipped off. This guitar looks great from a few feet away and it is full of vintage MOJO!!!I can't be sure that the case is original to the guitar, but I can tell you that it is a 70's Gibson Les Paul case and it's in EXC condition other than a latch that is broken.
