Les Paul Guitars Auction Description: This Les Paul Custom 25/50 Anniversary is just 1 of 100 World Wide with a Flame Maple Top. There were 3411 made but ONLY 100 with a Flame Maple Top. it is 100% Original & in Excellent Condition. pictures 10-12 show very small scratches or pin pricks, everything else is Flawless, even the back has No buckle rash....An ad in the November 1978 issue of Rolling Stone refers to the Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary model as "The Most Les: Les Paul's Silver Anniversary is Your Golden Opportunity." The ad prophesies that "it's the kind of guitar they'll be talking about 25 years from now." The 25/50 model was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Les Paul model (a year late, since 1977 was actually the 25th year), and the 50th anniversary of Les Paul's career in the music business. Intricate pearl and abalone "25/50" headstock, abalone side dot marker inlays, beautiful flamed maple top, five piece flamed maple neck, split block parallelogram inlays (one of only two Les Paul production models to sport these inlays), large control cavity, gold truss rod cover inscribed with "Les Paul Anniversary", brass nut, and a coil tap mini-switch...this 25/50 comes with the Original Hard Shell Chainsaw Case...Payment in Full is expected at the end of the Auction, if the reserve price is not met it will NOT be offered again...Thank you & Good luck Bidding!!!
