Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1998 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Figured Top Guitar

1998 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Figured Top Guitar Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: The Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Figured Top Les Paul The 1958 Les Paul Reissue VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Electric Guitar from the Gibson Custom Shop has the great features, tone, and looks that made the original '58 Les Paul a classic. Features a maple top, mahogany back, and one-piece set-in mahogany neck with rounded '50s neck profile, nickel plated hardware, and an original ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge. The Gibson Burstbucker Pickups used are historically accurate "Patent Applied For" replicas with an airy tone and unbalanced coils. A medium output Burstbucker 1 is used in the neck position, while the Burstbucker 2 in the bridge position has a slightly hotter output. Both have unpolished magnets and non-potted coils like the original "Patent Applied For" pickups.Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1958 Les Paul Reissue Figured Top VOS is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar. Includes Gibson Custom Shop case, a certificate of authenticity.Check out the links below:http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/ProductSpotlight/GearAndInstruments/vintage-original-spec-831/Washed CherryBelow is a link to hear what a 1998 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul sounds like:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-isnW28L-FAOn Dec-27-10 at 14:04:07 PST, seller added the following information:Built in Nashville July 1998. 2010 Gibson Les PAul Studio Worn 50s Tribute: GOLDTOP Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This is an AS NEW 2010 Gibson Les Paul Studio 50s Tirbute limited edition in highly desireable worn goldtop. Too bad Gibson stopped making these, they are very cool. Great feel, great looks, and most improtant, GREAT SOUND from the P90s. Comes with hang tags, warranty card, and gig bag. Will be shipped in the original Gibson box Fixed UPS ground shipping of $25 in continental USA. Other locations pay based on final destination and service requested. International bidder REMEMBER shipping is very expensive ( I usually use USPS Global Express which hits around $170. However, some countries have size restrictions which the guitar box exceeds, so the Airmail Prioity service is next to use, but it takes longer, but is cheaper. Also, some countries have limited insurance by USPS (like max of $500 or $650), so be aware of the details. Thanks.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top

1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Up for auction is a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top in great condition. This Deluxe has some very interesting customizations. The neck and body are bound in Brazilian rosewood (which i have never seen, usually they are all plastic) and the tuners seem to be factory installed Grovers instead of the Klusons which normally should have come with the instrument. In addition, it has first fret custom inlay either added at build time or sometime in the 70s. The person I bought the guitar from had it since 78 and says that the inlay was there from the time he got it. This guitar has obviously been refinished by a professional, but it's a spectacular player and looks and sounds great. It comes with the hard case shown. I'm not sure if this is the original case for it, but it does have the same wear as you would see from a case from the same age as the guitar. I'm not positive but it think the bridge may have been replaced, it does not seem to have the original age of the rest of the hardware. The truss rod cover was broken at some point and put back together.I am not a Gibson expert, but i will try to answer any questions you might have. I am starting this auction at .99 cents so bid freely and bid often :)$65.00 Shipping.Paypal OnlyInsurance will be required as well as delivery confirmation.Shipping either be by USPS or UPSInternational bidders please contact me for a shipping quote and please include your shipping code.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Showcase made in USA in 1989

Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Showcase made in USA in 1989 Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This is Gibson Les Paul Goldtop showcase made in USA in 1989. 200 showcase guitars were built from 1988 until the beggining of 1989. After that Gibson started production Custom Shop Guitars...Pick Guard is Sighned by Les Paul...... Comes with two pick guards. One is Autographed which is show in photo with case... the other pickguard is on the Guitar so you can use.. My understanding is 200 of these were made.. and some of the First ones actually had a Real Autograph from Les Paul.... Well this one has the Autograph... Even the wipe cloth is originall.. This guitar is extremely RARE as they come.. PRE Custom Shop.....Guitar Weighs. 9 pounds & 2 ounces on professional shipping scale..Theres a reflection of a black spot on front of the body.. this is just a refection from camera stand and not a black mark..The back of neck has Dark woodgrain... this is NOT a crack....This guitar has a one pice honduras mahongany body, with maple top, a mahongany neck with brazilian rosewood fretboard. Everything is original, Pickups are p-100 which is like a p-90 that doesn't get microphonic in high gain settings. Playability and sound are exellent. Only two minor visual issues, on the the neck pickups cover. As you can see on the photos. Wood finish is in Great condition, with a few very tiny marks here and there that are not even noticable. Not big enough to be seen in the pictures.. You can slightly see the buckle imprints of back of guitar in picture 7. The screws that hold the bridge in place go directly into the wood and not in a metal hole like other Les Pauls. The Frets are in Great condition as shown in photo.. It seems like these guitars were build up to the specs of a 1956 gibson, With the guitar also Comes with original hard case, shown in the photo. The hard case has one broken latch in back of case. Here is the link of the one that sold on EBAY for $3800 ;;;;; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=130448543093&si=RXMKqLHiHR4m6yVorKTEXqtxYVc%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Standard Rare Limited Custom Shop

Gibson Les Paul Standard Rare Limited Custom Shop Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Ho Ho Holy ##*%!!! Here I have a Gibson Custom Shop Limited Run Darkback Les Paul Standard in Candy Apple Blue, only 25 of these were made, the confusion is that there are R7 serial numbers, and CS which are even more rare. This is a stamped CS serial number and it has the cutom Shop logo on the neck, the r7 s do not. This is a very rare guitar and should not be overlooked. It was relisted due to the confusion of what it actually was. I put up natural outside pics which I couldnt do last time because it was too late. Weighing in at 8.5 lbs this guitar will make heads turn, and turn hard! The color is brilliant and changes at different angles to almost a midnight blue to black. There is nothing as sexy as a Darkback either. Burstbuckers, a perfect player and killer looks make for a great gift for the holidays. This guitar will ship in its original Custom Shop case with all of it's candy inside it's original box ...Immediate Paypal only, and I do not accept echecks.Thank You, and Happy Holidays!!!This is a limited edition Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard in Candy Apple Blue finish, 1 of 25 pieces worldwide.Maple TopMahogany BodyMahogany NeckLong Neck TenonRosewood Fretboard22 FretsTrapezoid InlaysVintage Tulip TunersBurstbucker PickupsChrome Hardware24-3/4" Scale LengthOn Dec-08-10 at 20:39:38 PST, seller added the following information:On Dec-08-10 at 21:00:26 PST, seller added the following information:This guitar is in showroom new condition, except that I just noticed that on the back about 2 inches in from the horn that it has a ding about 3/16th x 1/8th of an inch round and a pencil head size impression a couple of inches away from that. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Historic Reissue

57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Historic Reissue Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: I am the original owner of this beauty. This is in pristine, EXCELLENT condition. It has never been played out, much less played at all. This is a 2003 model and it has pretty much stayed in the case unplayed, and the case itself was covered most of the time. The pickguard still has the protective plastic on it. Comes with LPB-7 Certificate of Authenticity from Gibson Custom Art and Historic division, as well as the OHSC. This is a great guitar for the player, investor, or collector that wants a high quality, investment-grade instrument. As you know, you can't go wrong with investing in any Les Paul Custom, let alone a Historic Custom Shop instrument. The tone on this is very very dark. So this works well with anything from smokey blues to brutal crushing dropped tuned metal. If you are looking for a spanking bright Tele or Strat tone, you need to get a Tele or a Strat.I'm sure you know the equivalent of this runs way over $4k new. Save a lot and make a great investment at the same time!It is in EXCELLENT condition! I will, however, point out some additional characteristics; (1) it has some barely noticeable hair lining due to being tried out in the store, but this was high up near the ceiling and hardly ever handled, I do emphasize BARELY noticeable, as I can't even capture a photo of it, (2) there's an area near the binding on the end of the headstock that looks like there might have been some overrun of binding cement. I do show this in one of the photos. I did want to point that out to people that might perceive that as an imperfection, (3) in the same photo there is also some checking on the front of the headstock. This is the only area of checking on the guitar. This has been stored only in my pet free and smoke free home. Specifications: Materials: Carved mahogany top & body, One-piece mahogany neck Binding: Body / Neck / Peghead Hardware: Gold Bridge/Tailpiece: ABR-1 Tune-o-matic / Stop bar Pickups: Two '57 Classic Humbuckers Controls: Two volume, two tone, 3-way switch Fingerboard: 22 fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay Scale Length: 24-3/4" Nut Width: 1-11/16" Finish: Ebony More pictures of this wonderful instrument can be seen here:http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r243/imaniguana/57%20Les%20Paul%20Custom%20Historic%20Reissue/ Terms, Conditions, and assorted fine print:Shipping is $65 to the lower 48. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1997 Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 reissue Goldtop

1997 Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 reissue Goldtop Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: The item you are bidding on is a 1997 Les Paul Classic "1960 Reissue" Goldtop with the original pink lined Hard Shell Case!! They no longer make this particular model and this is before they started "chambering" there Les Pauls in order to make them lighter. The appeal to most with this guitar is the neck size......it is slimmer than most and easier to play. I bought this guitar new and it has been an amazing player but money is tight and the time has come for me to unload a few guitars from my collection. This guitar is 100% original and a one owner piece. It is in excellent condition overall but has a few minor little nicks and dings scattered about. Nothing big enough that it made it through the clear coat and into the paint or wood but just the usual lite wear and tear you would expect with a player guitar. The face of the guitar has some weather checking like you will see on all old vintage goldtops. Across the toggle switch, between the pickups and through the volume and tone knobs. It is barely visible to the naked eye when looking at the guitar unless you get the light just right to see it. I had to use a special light source and took about 50 pictures at different exposures in order to try and capture what it is I'm talking about. Please see the pictures and use the zoom feature in order to check it out. I wan't everyone to know exactly what they are getting before they bid. Other than that this guitar looks and plays absolutely amazing and its overall condition is excellent! This guitar is one of the best playing Les Pauls you will ever find. Why you ask?? I have been a professional musician for over 40 years and the last 28 have been as a guitar instructor in one of the single largest guitar stores in the country. I began collecting guitars years ago and I play every single one that comes through the shop testing it for tone, sustain, action, weight, intonation, and on and on and on. Very few guitars have ever caught my attention enough to get me to fall in love with them and take them home. Well this particular guitar is one such guitar. It sings like a bird and plays like butter. I am devistated to have to be selling it but appearantly eatting is more important than playing....who knew! This guitar is a one of a kind and may be the best playing and sounding Les Paul I have ever had the pleasure of plugging in. :(This auction will begin at $500 with no reserve. Shipping will be through UPS with insurance to anywhere in the continental United States for $40. Additional charges will apply to Alaska, Hawaii or Puert Rico. Expedited shipping will also have additional charges. I can ship this guitar worldwide but the shipping charges vary depending on the country so please contact me for a quote before you decide to bid. Last of all I mentioned above that I am a private seller and not a dealer so I have no feedback showing for the last twelve months. Please take the time to look over my feedback history and you will see that I have a 100% positive for all of my previous transactions. Thanks for taking a look at my guitar and good luck bidding. Happy Holidays!

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded 07 Tobacco Burst - Slash

Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded 07 Tobacco Burst - Slash Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Up for auction is a rare 2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded in Tobacco Burst with original gibson case. This guitar is in very good condition with some small scratches here and there from being played (very hard to see), also has a small chip on one of the volume knobs. The top has been professional polished to give it a little more shine. I condsider this to be one of the best playing and sounding Les Pauls I've every played, very acoustic sounding when not plugged in. Its very comfortable and light, I'd say around 8lbs, has a fast smooth 60's neck and gibson burstbucker pickups. Nice dark roswood fret board almost looks ebony.I really love this guitar but its not getting played as much anymore, so I've decided to let her go. I think this guitar will become very collectable as they are becoming very hard to find. This will make a great gift for the holidays!Paypal payment is expected within two days after auction. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 96' Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Sparkle Burst

96' Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Sparkle Burst Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Up for auction is a 1996 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul in a sparkle cherryburst. The pictures don't due the guitar justice at all, it looks a little dark in the pictures. There were only 250 of these made if I remember correctly. This is in great condition, plays and sounds great. I'd give this an easy 8 out of 10 with just some minor "scratches" on the back of the body but does not go through the paint. No rash at all just the normal wear and tear. The front body of the guitar looks pretty much perfect with no dings or dents or scratches anywhere. There is 2 small dings on the front of the headstock, but nothing very noticable. The binding along the neck and the body is in great condition along with the rosewood fretboard. Tons of life left on the fat round frets with almost no sign of this guitar being played. The neck isn't a real slim neck but i wouldn't call it a 50's "baseball bat" type either. Nice and round feeling and very easy to play with pretty much perfect action. Gold hardware, a clear pickguard, and what i believe to be 496 uncovered zebra pickups. It weights in at 9lbs. and comes with the original brown case with pink inside and warranty card as well. This is a great guitar for anyone to add to their collection. Don't pass this up if you're in the market for a Les Paul that you don't see everyday.

This one has a wonderful top that is very deep and 3 Dimensional. It has been upgraded with Hovland Oil In Paper Capacitors, CTS Pots and has been wired 50's Style from RS Guitarworks. All else is original. It is naturally aged by years of play that have resulted in several dings and belt rash. Not abused, just used. The neck is big and round and a joy to play. The frets are in excellent shape as is the fingerboard...I haven't contacted Gibson to see if the fingerboard is Madagascar or possibly Brazilian...It is a real late 2002 and anything is possible. The neck is straight and the action very low and plays fast and flawlessly. It has Classic 57 Reissue PAF's that sound fat and overdrive perfectly and roll off to clean and sweet with nice overtones. The neck pickup reads 7.97k and the bridge 8.07k. The weight is a very comfortible 9lb's 2oz's. It ships in its original Gibson Black Custom Shop Hardshell case as shown. Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard Gun Metal Grey Floyd

Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard Gun Metal Grey Floyd Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: New Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard Gun Metal GreyCheck out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! The new Les Paul Axcess Standard from Gibson Custom carries all the elegant styling, fluid body lines and rocking attitude of a classic Les Paul Standard from the golden era of the late 1950s. Upon closer examination, however, the Les Paul Axcess reveals a handful of upgrades " all modifications made in the name of maximum playability and versatility. Body and Neck Encounter the clever structural alteration that gives this new model its name by taking the instrument in your hands and running your fingers up the neck. The Axcess sports what looks from the front to be a traditional Les Paul neck joint, yet the neck heel and portions of the back and neck joint at the upper cutaway have been contoured to provide a "heelless" feel, and an unimpeded reach right up to the 22nd fret. No more stretching against the traditional neck heel to achieve the upper-fret access that your lead style demands " the Axcess gives you that legendary Les Paul playability all the way up the neck, welcoming you to take it right over the top. The one-piece, 24 3/4" scale length, mahogany neck features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid fingerboard inlays. To further enhance playing comfort, this smoothly carved neck joint is combined with a "belly scarf" (aka ribcage contour) that allows the body of the guitar to hug closely to your own body in the playing position without digging in. Add to these contours the Les Paul Axcess's slightly thinner body, made from weight-relieved mahogany - Gun Metal Gray finish and single-ply cream binding on body top - and you've got an instrument that is refreshingly light, and a pure joy to play either strapped on, or in a seated position.Hardware The most noticeable addition is the Floyd Rose tailpiece, a unit optimized for anything from subtle vibrato wobbles to dramatic, rumbling divebombs. On the Les Paul Axcess Standard the vibrato is installed right at Gibson Custom as part of the manufacturing process, which means this potent piece of high-performance hardware interacts seamlessly with the design of the guitar. Partnered with an R4 locking nut, it also guarantees outstanding tuning stability and return-to-pitch accuracy.Beyond all these significant considerations for playing feel, the Axcess is also geared toward optimum tone, as you'd expect from any Gibson Custom creation. Exposed-coil super hot 496R and 498T pickups in the neck and bridge positions yield numerous tonal opportunities including ultra crunch and driving singing leads, warm and fluid vocal tones, and fat, sweet growls, while an added push/pull switch on both the treble and rhythm Tone knob provides series parallel coil splitting for accurate single-coil tones without the hum and provides numerous tonal combinations. These unique tonal combinations excel at delivering everything from singing classic rock lead tones to contemporary crunch to extremes of twang and jangle. Even the pure-nickel wound .10-.46 Gibson Vintage Strings it ships with contribute toward its rich, textured voice. Each instrument also comes with a Gibson Custom hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Custom Shop "Historic" '68 Les Paul Custom

Gibson Custom Shop "Historic" '68 Les Paul Custom Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This is a Custom Shop Gibson, Custom. 1968 "Historic" Re-issue with a AAAAA+ "flame" top finish that is a head turner. When I first saw it, I absolutely HAD to have it. Now, I've lost my job and I have to pay BILLS (Love this economy!) (PLEASE LOOK BELOW FOR FULL DESCRIPTION and SPECS)Anyway, I'm forced to sell it for whatever I can get. So, ......NO RESERVE auction (God help me).You would have to pay in the neighborhood of $5,000 if you were to go & buy one retail. So, some lucky devil is going to be happy with this VERY pretty guitar. It plays like a dream .....what can I say? It's a LES PAUL ! And, IMO "custom shop" guitars are worth the extra $$$.Actually, I'm a "Strat" guy, but I've been playing about 50 years and, who doesn't NEED at LEAST 10 guitars !?? I buy lots of guitars as I suffer from GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome) as many of you. But, I'm FORCED to SELL for lack of MONEY so, I have to thin out my inventory as I'm financially embarrassed. This is good for whoever wins this gorgeous guitar. As far as dings and such, there IS a little bit of "buckle rash" on the back but, I couldn't capture it in the photos. It is very minimal, and you have to look close to see it.OHSC, with "Historic" logo and all the, documentation / "case candy".The guitar holds it's tune wonderfully, intonation is spot-on, and has virtually no fretwear. As mentioned I'm a "strat" player so, I've only used this for a few recordings. Happy to answer any questions or provide more photos. 100% Ebay profile I will REFUND any difference in shipping costs. Happy to accept your personal check, MO, or bank draft. (or ugh, PayPal)Thanks for looking ! RJ guitarsandkeys.com (not a retailer.... just 50 years of the bends) . Oh !!! The 24.7 5 inch scale length neck is made from a single piece of mahogany. It has a rounded neck profile. The tuners are Kidney bean type which is gold.
