Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Reissue Les Paul Standard

Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Reissue Les Paul Standard Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Gibson's Les Paul Standard model from 1959 is the most highly acclaimed, widely recognized solid body electric guitar in the entire world, coveted by both players and collectors as the ultimate example of playability, attractiveness and tone among all six-stringed instruments. In an industry filled with imitations and replicas, the iconic 1959 Les Paul Standard simply has no equal.Named after Lester William Polsfuss, aka Les Paul - legendary American jazz guitarist, and true pioneer in the development of recorded music - the Les Paul model guitar became the "Standard" in July 1958 after company president Ted McCarty and his staff decided to add the new designation and forego the guitar's traditional Goldtop finish for a new, brighter finish dubbed Cherry Sunburst, which allowed the natural beauty of the Les Paul Standard's maple top to be showcased. The company was hoping the changes would improve its sales of solid body electric guitars, which had been declining since 1953 when the Gibson shipped 2,245 Les Paul Model guitars.Duane Allman, Jethro Tull's Martin Barre, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Peter Green, Michael Bloomfield, Ted Nugent, Keith Richards and Jimmy Page are among the classic rock guitarists who made the 1959 Les Paul Standard the epitome of the solid body guitar for fans and players alike. Perhaps Page most of all, who " with a '59 slung nearly down to his knees " defined the rock-guitar-star look as he co-fronted Led Zeppelin in the late '60s and '70s. What makes the exacting Custom Shop '59 Reissue " which retails for $5900 - and the original '59s, now worth $250,000-plus at auction " so special is that year's Les Paul Standard evolved to a model with wider, fatter jumbo frets, creating a smoother, faster neck. Add the iconic sound of the model's pickups, reproduced by today's Gibson BurstBuckers, and history was made. This 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue was made in 2010, has a carved maple top with a non-weight relieved mahogany back and sides for natural sustain, plus vintage style tulip tuners as well as a classic one-piece mahogany neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. It was aged by the Gibson Custom Shop and is in pristine condition. Look at the incredible flame on this one!Comes with hardshell Gibson Custom Shop case and Custom Shop certificate. Sold as it, where is. I cannot ship this guitar to you until your payment clears my account. I will have this guitar professionally packaged and insure the guitar for its purchase price when shipping it, and email you the tracking number. I will refund any difference between what you've paid for shipping and the actual cost of shipping. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 2007 Gibson Les Paul Classic W/Burst Bucker PAF's ebony

2007 Gibson Les Paul Classic W/Burst Bucker PAF's ebony Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This guitar was always taken care of and loved. Never abused. It was a player and enjoyed. Although there are little blemishes here and there. None are serious. It's not mint but in nice condition. It does have a small bump on the head. Not very noticeable unless you are looking for it. Now this guitar was just serviced at the local Guitar Center. The tech was impressed as to how low he was able to get the action down too. Very easy to play with its 60's style neck he said. The neck is straight and the frets are like new. It plays and sounds awesome. The pickups have been upgraded to the Burst Bucker Pro Alnico 5 PAF's. Which really makes this guitar stand out. It really rocks. If your looking for a nice looking easy playing guitar that sounds awesome at a great price. This is it! If your looking for a mint wall hanger this isn't the one. It comes with a non-original hardshell case. I will ship the best I can. To assure its travel. I have 100% feedback so bid with confidence and bid to win. There is no reserve and sold as is. You wont find a better sounding guitar for this price. Guaranteed! No bidders with zero feedback will be excepted.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1999 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue Plain Top

1999 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue Plain Top Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: 1999 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue Plain Top, Heritage Cherry Sunburst40th Anniversary Model in Amazing Condition"8.9 Lbs!You are bidding on my 1999 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Reissue known as the R9. This one is a Plain Top done in a Heritage Cherry Sunburst. The pickups are the original '57 Classic Humbuckers. First, let's clear up the confusions with the 40th anniversary R9's, as I called and talked to the factory.  Gibson considers all the 1999 R9's to be 40th anniversary models since they were manufactured in 1999.  However, there are some of those made that year that carry a 40th Anniversary booklet.  (Fender did not put in CAO's until 2003!   Don't let any one else tell you differently.)I picked up playing guitar about three years ago after not playing for four decades. Unfortunately I suffered a hand injury and I am no longer able to play, so I am selling off all my guitars (except my first one for prosperity.)  Please check my other listing as you will find a nice assortments of guitars for sale. While I was always a Fender guy, I needed to own one special Gibson.  This one was checked out by my guitar teacher, John "Ratso" Gerardi, 3 Grammys.  This guitar compares very favorable to his actual 1959 Gibson.  You can check out his profile here:http://www.riffratrecords.com/None of the guitars I am listing have been played very much, and not one has left my house nor has any ever been gigged.  I am a hobbyist player, and all of these guitars were stored in my third floor family room (always temperature controlled).  Our house is a no smoking house. In fact, the ashtray is still wrapped in the original factory paper as you can see in the photo. This guitar is in amazing shape.  It weighs 8.9 pounds on my bathroom scale.  It was purchased in Los Angeles from a guitar dealer whom picked it up on swap from the original 1999 owner, Hal Oppenheim.  Hal is well known in Hollywood having composed music for over two dozen movies.  Here is some background on the original owner:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hal_Oppenheimhttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm2373968/http://www.myspace.com/haloppenheimI have a photo of the note he gave to the dealer which I will include. If you are looking for a R9, you will realize that not all R9's are the same.  The 1999's are considered some of the finest work Gibson's Historic Shop built.  Do not get these confused with the newer (post 2004) models as there is no comparison.I am going to sell it well below what I paid for it from the original owner, which was over $5000. This guitar is going to be listed with a very low reserve (don't ask as I do not disclosed but it is significantly below those figures listed above.) So here is a chance to own essentially a new guitar well below that. The guitar will include all the case candy and the original case.  The case is in excellent shape with no scratches or nicks.Shipping to Continental 48 States is a flat rate $100 and will include full insurance.  For this auction, I will not ship overseas, do not ask.  I will allow local pickup.  Funds need to be received with 48 hours of the end of auction, and I will ship within 2 business days.If you want higher resolution pictures emailed, please contact me.Terms of Sale      The buyer is responsible for payment prior to shipment.   You must make payment via PayPal only within 48 hours.  I will ship anywhere in the 48 US states via UPS Ground.  The cost of shipping will be $100 flat rate.  All my items are shipped in oversized boxes with the appropriate packing materials.  The insurance is a safety for both parties. If you have an eBay rating worse than 90% or have less than 10 auctions, you must email me prior to your bid or else I will delete the bid.  No exceptions.  I will delete your bid if you do not contact me.Shipping and Charges   I ship via UPS.  If you prefer a different vendor, please email me ahead of the close of the auction and we can discuss. I will not ship overseas so please do not ask.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Custom black w OHSC MUST SELL!

Gibson Les Paul Custom black w OHSC MUST SELL! Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Hello Ebayers! Up for grabs is my late 90's (98 or 99) Gibson Les Paul Custom with original hard shell case. I'm in a financial bind and need to sell ASAP. A little about the guitar: It is excellent condition. Definitetly NOT mint. Cosmetically about an 8 out of 10. There's noticeable belt buckle rash on the back. No paint is chipped off, and there's NO major dents. The guitar has normal wear and use signs. I was in over my head when I bought this guitar, I'm not a serious player and I don't need a guitar this nice. I DO know that everything is stock. I bought it off the original owner. Plays great, the frets look good to me. The case is also in great condition, but I had to remove the combination/upper latch because I don't know the combination. You can always screw it back on and reset it, I've been told that it's not hard to do. I will package the guitar well and you can check my feedback to know that you're dealing with an honest Ebayer. I just need money right away and my wife said this has to go (I have other guitars). BID NOW AND SAVE THOUSANDS!!!! Sale is final, no returns or exchange..but don't worry, you're getting exactly what you're expecting. **sorry I only have one picture but my camera is acting up.**

Les Paul Guitars Auction: MC Gibson Les Paul Signed by Ace Frehley of KISS

MC Gibson Les Paul Signed by Ace Frehley of KISS Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Gibson Les Paul Signed by Ace Frehley of KISS Gibson Les Paul Signed by Ace Frehley of KISS Bid on this gorgeous Gibson Les Paul signed by Ace Frehley of KISS! You can practice and see if you can master the "smoking guitar" just like he did! Frehley came up with his trademark smoking guitar trick on one of the first KISS tours in Canada. Frehley placed a smoke bomb in the compartment of his Les Paul where the volume and tone controls are located and lit it by hand, causing the smoke to come out through the pickups. An amazing guitar trick, on an amazing guitar by an amazing guitarist - the guitar trifecta! Frehley signed this Les Paul while playing at the 2010 MAP Fund Benefit Concert celebrating Women In Recovery and saluting Betty Ford on May 7, 2010 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. "Space Ace" signed in black Sharpie on the bottom of the guitar and even included a drawing of an "Ace" card. Don't let this be the luck of the draw, bid now! Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Darkback

Gibson Les Paul Goldtop Darkback Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Les Paul goldtop darkback guitar. I think this model is called "traditional pro", but don't hold me to it. I do know it was specially made by Gibson for Guitar Center, and I don't think they offer it in goldtop anymore. It has everything I wanted in a Les Paul...the gold top and dark back, but also killer player features, including Grover locking tuners, coil taps for both pickups, and the zebra humbucker setup. It's an amazing guitar. I bought it to play, I'm not a collector. But I never played it out, and it has only the most minimal wear. A bit of light scratching on the pickguar, and a bit of stain on the nut where I sprinkled some pencil graphite on it to keep any string binding from happening. No buckle rash or true player wear. Aside from what I've mentioned, I can't find anything else to list. It plays so good. It's the finest musical instrument I've ever owned, and it just oozes USA-made quality. I'm selling it because I'm starting a new business and need cash. I bought it to keep, and I've agonized over this, but I have to do it. I am not a pro and this is a professional instrument. I have cheaper guitars that I can justify keeping, but not this one. Everything is sweet, no string buzz, frets are immaculate, etc. It's basically new, except for what I've mentioned. Comes with OHSC, and the owner's manual and case candy that came with it. Bid with confidence, I'm picky and I only sell good stuff. US buyers only, with good feedback and Paypal accounts. Shipping is to the continental US only.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Custom, 40th Anniversary, Barely Played

Gibson Les Paul Custom, 40th Anniversary, Barely Played Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: You are bidding on one barely used wine red 1994 Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar in superb condition with no scratches, dings or any other issues (just superficial polishing hazing on the pickguard). This thing basically sat in it's case since 1994 and still has the original strings. It is widely known that the early to mid 1990's were some of the best guitars Gibson produced with great wood, craftsmanship and attention to detail. This guitar is all factory original with no modifications with a straight neck and weighs approximately 9 pounds and is a shade darker in color in person (the flash kind of washes it out a bit) with all the gold hardware still shiny with no wear. It comes with it's original light brown/tan case with the pink interior and silk cover.**Free Shipping with Buy It Now** **No Overseas Bidders / USA Sales Only **On Feb-10-11 at 09:00:14 PST, seller added the following information:Just to clarify- This is not a 40th Anniversay model with the P-90's. It's a 1994 (40yrs since the first Les Paul). It has the full-size humbuckers. Sorry about any confusion.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1998 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Quilt Cherry One Off!

1998 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Quilt Cherry One Off! Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: For auction is a 1998 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop with the Gibson Custom hardcase. If you love Gibson guitars or know someone who has been looking for a very special one for the holidays look no further. You will not find another one like this, this is it a true one off. Hands down this is one of the most impressive tops I have seen done by the Gibson Custom Shop folks. Amazing attention to details and check out that finish, cherry quilt maple top with cream binding. I spoke with a Gibson Rep because I thought the pick ups might be aftermarket but he said that most likely this one is all original. The rep said the custom shop builders will often just come up with an idea and roll with it for a one off. All the solder work is clean and electronics work perfectly. The pick ups are Alnico 2 Seymour Duncan Phat Cats. If you are not familiar with them they are a P- 90 that is fitted in a humbucker shell. I love this combo because for one Gibson does not have anything like this in regular production so it makes it really unique but besides that the pick ups are awesome. I had some GFS Mean 90s installed on a SG but the Phat Cats are for sure a step above when it comes to tone. We're talking really big and fat type tone and actually I think they are a bit warmer than the stock burstbuckers and for sure the ceramic 490 set. For the players concerned with noise, SD has these really well shielded so you get none of that unwanted interference. It's a player through and through. I just tested it out through my 5150 and marshall and it screams. The bridge is the best for heavy rock riffs but again with a bit more mids. I think all the Jazz and Blues players will love the sound of the neck pup p90 with this unchambered mahogany body, tone is simply classic rich Gibson style all the way. It's in very good condition with the normal wear; minimal fret wear and the factory fret job is superb, has some picking scratches on the front with a couple pin sized dings, rosewood board looks mint, back of the body has the same minimal wear as the front with a couple more tiny dings, headstock has slight wear on the back. Again this is all very minimal but I like to really describe the guitar as accurate as possible but I think if you got a pro clean up on a buffing wheel most of the wear would buff out. Grover tuners are nice and smooth. To check out my entire inventory google recyclerock guitars. I will ship worldwide but please make sure the country you reside in will accept a box that is 46",19",7". Also for international buyers outside N. America, I will only ship this via USPS Global Express mail. International buyers are responsible for custom charges if any are incurred. On Nov-22-10 at 12:02:10 PST, seller added the following information: Andrewabr store

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Gibson Les Paul Standard 2004

Gibson Les Paul Standard 2004 Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This is a gorgeous 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard in heritage cherry sunburst. It is in excellent condition. The "burst" is beautifully done, just the right mix of rich cherry and amber. The figure on the tip is very warm and beautiful, not the "digital photo" type figure that appears on some of the newer Les Pauls. The guitar has burstbuster pick ups numbers 2 and 3 in the neck and bridge position respectively. The guitar has been wired with four push-pull pots that allow for 23 different pick up combinations. A spec sheet is included describing all the pick up combinations. PIO caps have also been installed. The guitar sounds great and is unbelievably flexible. All hardware and plastic has been upgraded to Gibson historic spec parts including an ABR bridge and lightweight aluminum tailpiece. There are three very small dings on the back of the guitar; two near the control cover and one in the middle of the back. The case is in excellent condition as well. I use paypal for all transactions, please US bids only and finally, no returns. Thanks for looking. On Feb-05-11 at 10:20:20 PST, seller added the following information:Sorry, I meant the figure on the top of the guitar, not the tip.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 2010 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Ebony

2010 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Ebony Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: New 2010 Gibson Les Paul Standard EbonyCheck out my other items - opens in a new window or tab!Be sure to add me to your favorites list - opens in a new window or tab! Les Paul Standard has Gibson's newest neck profile"an asymmetrical design that makes it one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever offered on any guitar. The new ergonomically-correct profile is tapered, and designed to be thicker on the bass side, and thinner on the treble side, closely outlining the natural form of the hand as it grips the neck. The Standard necks are machined in Gibson's rough mill using wood shapers to make the initial cuts. Once the rosewood fingerboard gets glued on, the rest"including the final sanding"is done by hand. That means there are no two necks with the exact same dimensions. So while it still has the basic characteristics of its respective profile, each neck will be slightly different, with a distinct but traditional feel.Les Paul Standard will benefit from Gibson's proven chambering technique, which leaves each guitar with perfect tone, balance, and weight. Prior to gluing the maple cap on top of the mahogany body, the expert craftsmen at Gibson USA carve out carefully mapped-out chambers in the body using a Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) router. The positioning of the routes was established after careful examination of the resonant characteristics of the Les Paul. Gibson approached this process with the awareness that every change to the formula would have repercussions on the instrument's sound. So, in addition to relieving the stress on a player's back and shoulder, these lighter Gibson guitars also enhance the tone palette in a manner unique only to these guitars. The results are comfortable, lightweight guitars that are acoustically louder, with increased sustain and resonance.Les Paul Standard features TonePros locking Nashville Tune-o-matic in a chrome finish, which has saddle adjustment screws on the pickup side, and pre-notched saddles for quick installation. The chrome locking stopbar tailpiece is also from TonePros. These parts come with locking studs designed to secure both components firmly to the body so that there is no lean, yielding a great union between the strings and body which results in excellent tone and sustain.Les Paul Standard is one of the first models from Gibson USA to utilize the revolutionary Plek machine in setting up the guitar. The Plek is a German-made, computer controlled machine that carefully measures each fret, along with the fingerboard height under each string, and then automatically dresses each fret, virtually eliminating string buzz and greatly improving the overall playability of the guitar. This pioneering process does in minutes what it takes a luthier several hours"sometimes even days"to accomplish. Every fret is accurately aligned, and the guitar is properly intonated, leaving the instrument "Plek'd" and amazingly playable.Neutrik has been making superior electronic interconnection products since 1975, making them the logical choice to supply the performance safeguarding jack in Gibson's Les Paul Standard. Like many Neutrik products, the jack in the Les Paul Standard is manufactured from strong, high-grade thermoplastics and housed in a rugged diecast nickel shell. A retention spring inside the jack ensures optimum grip on any guitar cable, thus avoiding the chance of lost connection. Les Paul Standard is outfitted with locking tuners from Grover, which deliver ease of use through a standard tuner and positive locking mechanism that securely locks each string in place. Simply insert each string through the string hole, turn the dial on the bottom of the tuner to lock the string, and begin tuning. Each string can be tuned to pitch in less than one complete revolution of the post. These Grover machine heads feature completely sealed components with an improved 18:1 tuning ratioLes Paul Standard features all newly designed controls, including custom-made, solderless potentiometers. These new potentiometers deliver accuracy and high reliability, while giving the Standard a new level of sonic clarity and intensity never before seen in a Les Paul.Les Paul Standard sports a revolutionary enlarged neck tenon designed by Gibson's team of pioneering engineers. The expanded neck tenon features an innovative interlocking joint that allows the neck to be dropped into the body from the guitar's top side, as opposed to sliding the neck in from the rim. When the glue is added, a solid unyielding bond is created that maximizes the wood to wood contact between the neck and the body, offering increased stability and superb transfer of vibration for enhanced tone, improved sustain, and superior resonance. It is also the largest neck tenon in the history of the Les Paul. The Burstbucker Pro, designed specifically for the new Les Paul Standards. The Burstbucker Pro features an Alnico V magnet (instead of the Alnico II), which offers slightly higher output and allows preamps to be driven a little harder to achieve a more natural break-up. Like all Burstbuckers, the Burstbucker Pro has asymmetrical coils"true to the original PAFs"which supply a more open sound. The Burstbucker Pro Neck is wound slightly less than the original PAFs, while the Burstbucker Pro Bridge is slightly overwound for increased output. The Burstbucker Pro pickups are also wax potted to allow loud volume pressures with minimal feedback.

1991 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar & Hard Case Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Hello, You are bidding on aGibson Les PaulThis guitar is preowned and in good condition. Les Paul Guitars Auction: Rare Vintage 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom with Case

Rare Vintage 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom with Case Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Rare 1983 Gibson Les Paul CustomThis is a rare 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Rare because it has a custom pear/metallic white finish. At least that's the best I can describe it. It has the original pull out string winders on the tuners. This Les Paul looks, sounds and plays great. It does have it's share of nicks and dings, but there's no breaks. It almost looks like a Les Paul Special style with the pickguard, and it does look pretty cool. However, it does hide an ugly secret under the ominous looking custom pickguard. It looks like someone (crudely) tried to add a third pickup at one time, and carved up the middle of the body. (I guess it makes it a few grams lighter anyway:) The pickguard really covers it up well. Other than that, there's no breaks or repairs, and it's a solid classic player from a superb era, (think Randy Rhoads). The original finish is really beautiful, and different than just a normal white finish. There is some color variations from aging and wear throughout the guitar, as you can see from the pics. There's also a little red tint in the finish around the edge of the back. I'm not sure what would have caused this, if it was from being in the case or what, but I know the white finishes from the 80's were prone to issues like this. This Les Paul Custom plays and sounds great. The pickups were changed to Seymour Duncans, and they sound hot! The pots are newer Gibson pots. The tailpiece has lots of wear. It has the weird original bridge that adjusts not only vertically, but multi-position horizontally. This comes with what looks like it's original chainsaw case, but one of the latches is missing, since there's only two to begin with. Nice players grade Gibson Les Paul Custom with a rare finish.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1978 Gibson Les Paul Artisan Rare Tobacco Burst !

1978 Gibson Les Paul Artisan Rare Tobacco Burst ! Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: The most interesting and unique features of the Artisan model are the hearts and flowers inlay pattern on the neck (reminiscent of banjo inlays), and the unique Gibson peghead design, with the pre-war style "Gibson" script logo and pearl hearts and flowers inlays. It is a beautiful example of an ornate Les Paul for its era. The Artisan was originally issued with three pickups, black "top hat" knobs with gold inserts and a stop bar tailpiece in 1977. Two were Gibson Series VII humbucking pickups and one (middle position) Gibson "Super Humbucking" pickup. The pickup selector switch was wired to three settings: (1) rhythm pickup only, (2) middle and bridge pickup with the switch in the middle position, and (3) the bridge pickup only. Sometime in late 1978 or early 1979 the Artisan was issued with a TP-6 fine tuning tailpiece, speed knobs, exclusive Gibson "Crank" machine head button tuners and two Series VII pickups, with a three pickup version available only as an option. Artisans were originally issued with Nashville-style bridges, but in 1980, a large tune-o-matic bridge with rectangular base was introduced. The Artisans feature gold hardware, including a gold jack plate, Schaller-style "Gibson" tuners, multi-ply binding on front and back, multi-ply pickguard, mahogany body with three piece carved maple top, laminated maple three piece neck, ebony fingerboard, bound peghead and fingerboard, and engraved "Artisan" truss rod cover. All Artisans had neck volutes. Most, if not all Artisan models were made in the Kalamazoo factory, even until the model was discontinued in 1982.The necks on the Artisans are of medium thickness, and feel good in the hands. Frets are wide and of medium height. The pickups are loud and toneful. In the author's opinion, a preferable wiring pattern for the three pickup model would have been to combine the rhythm and middle pickups as the selection with the switch in the middle position. The Artisan model is superbly crafted, with excellent fit and finish as were most Kalamazoo-made guitars of the era. On Jan-26-11 at 19:53:24 PST, seller added the following information:You are bidding on a NO RESERVE auction for a 1978 Triple Pickup Gibson Les Paul Artisan in Tobacco Burst. Pickups and electronics are all original. The condition is 7.5 out of 10 for 33 year old guitar. There are some minor issues worth noting: 1) thin separation between the 2nd and 3rd layer on the top. I had this checked out by a very reputable vintage repair shop and dealer and they recommended not to try to make a repair, as it has no affect on playability or tone of the guitar. 2) there are small checking cracks on the neck binding near the frets (very common for these guitars), 3) strap lock on the bottom needs to be replaced. It is cock-eyed, slightly loose and could use a simple patch-up.On the positive side: 1) this is a heavy weight (around 11 lbs.) and sustains forever. 2) pickups and electronics are all original providing exceptional tonal range, 3) these are becoming more scarce have relatively high resale value and this is is rare tobacco burst., 4) nice straight neck with all binding in tact on the ebony freight board. 5) plenty of life left on the frets. 6) original protector hard shell case included. This is a U.S. sale only. No international bidders (please don't ask).If you participate in the auction, please be prepared to pay promptly. I accept Paypal. You can pickup locally in Northeast Ohio and avoid shipping charges.Highest bidder wins. I am only selling to buy another Vintage Gibson Les Paul. Bid with Confidence. I have sold over 150 guitars on Ebay and have very positive feedback. I pride myself on listing with accuracy. If you have questions, please ask. On Jan-27-11 at 10:52:03 PST, seller added the following information:THIS IS A U.S.A. SALE ONLY.On Jan-27-11 at 11:10:51 PST, seller added the following information:I will entertain offers for ending the auction early. Please, no low ball offers. Give me your best offer and I will let you know quickly if we can come to deal. I am also open to trades (or trades + ca$h) for the right guitar. On Jan-29-11 at 07:46:21 PST, seller added the following information:My luthier / guitar tech played the guitar last night and said the frets are original and reflect wear according to the guitar's age.

1981 Gibson Les Paul Standard w/OHSC Tim Shaw Pickups Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: All Original 1981 Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst with Original Hardshell Case And the Legendary Tim Shaw PickupsFirst of all I would like to start off with is, I have been mainly a earlier years Gibson Les Paul person. But I have to say I have now had 4 guitars with these Tim Shaw pickups, and I have been so impressed with there sound. Everyone of them have given that classic sought after tone. I have had Original PAF's that have not sounded the way these have. I guess the bottom line here is if you have never had the pleasure of these Shaw pickups, you are really missing out on some versatile awesome tone. The guitar is in very good condition and all original as you can see with the exceptin of strap buttons. A medium neck profile with very good condition frets. A little worming on the back and few dings here and there, and overall just a fantastic guitar in sound, playing and condition. Right around 10lbs. Original Case also in very good condition. Serial Number 82601547.Just a beautiful guitar, both inside and out.Additional photos upon request.
