Signed certificate ..Stamped "Gibson Custom Shop" on the back of the neck, Historic Custom Art Gibson nearly 15 years old and going up in value by the day with the current news of Peter finding his original one. 8.9 lbs …light for a custom 3PUSome data from the web:Peter Frampton Les PaulAfter paying his dues with Humble Pie and years of solo touring and recording in the late ’60s and ’70s, young British guitar star Peter Frampton hit it huge in 1976 with the release of Frampton Comes Alive, the biggest selling live album of all time. And as every one of the more than 10 million fans who bought it in its first year of release alone could tell you, you only needed to fold down that double-album cover to see Frampton wailing on a black, three-pickup Les Paul Custom. Players by the score ran out in search of their own version of that Les Paul Custom, the instrument in Frampton’s hands widely assumed to be an original 1960 model, but its origins, and its journey to the star’s hands (and out of them once again), reveal some unusual twists and turns. During the first night of a three-night stand in 1970 opening for the Grateful Dead at the Fillmore West in San Francisco while still playing with Humble Pie, Frampton was having trouble with howling feedback from his semi-hollowbody guitar on the big stage. A fan named Mark Mariana approached him after his set on the second night, said he’d noticed the hassles the guitarist was having, and provided a solution: if he wanted to, Frampton could play Mariana’s solidbody Les Paul Custom for the third night at the Fillmore. He delivered the instrument, which looked for all the world like a 1960 Custom, but was in fact a 1954 Custom freshly back from the Gibson factory, where it had been given a new coat of ebony black lacquer, new frets, and three humbucking pickups to update it to contemporary specs. Frampton bonded with the guitar instantly. It not only cured his feedback problems for the closing night of the run, it proved the most tuneful, expressive guitar Frampton had ever played. When he offered to buy it after the set, Mariana said that, no, he wouldn’t sell it—he would give it to Frampton. And through that unprecedented act of generosity, a re-born 1954 Les Paul Custom became one of the most iconic guitars of the decade. Sadly, Frampton’s original Comes Alive Les Paul Custom was lost in 1980 when a cargo plane crashed in Venezuela. But Gibson’s Custom Shop raised it from the ashes in the form of the Peter Frampton Les Paul, a guitar crafted in the image of the 1954/1960 Les Paul Custom, but with a few new twists to the artists specifications. Wearing a high-gloss ebony black “black beauty” finish, gold-plated hardware, multi-ply body and headstock binding, and the decorative mother-of-pearl “split-diamond” headstock inlay and block position markers in its ebony fingerboard, the Peter Frampton Les Paul is the spitting image of the original. At Frampton’s request, however, it benefits from a slim-carved neck profile for optimum speed, and a weight-relieved mahogany body and carved solid maple top that both lighten the load and enhance the tone. A classic Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece pairing keep things tight, resonant and sustaining, while three open-coil humbucking pickups of Frampton’s own specification—a 57 Classic in the neck position, a 57 Classic Plus in the middle, and a 500T in the bridge—provide all the tones, from sultry to sizzling, that this virtuoso guitarist is known for. As a high-caliber instrument, the Peter Frampton Les Paul naturally comes with a Custom Shop hardshell case, along with a Certificate of Authenticity _gsrx_vers_468 (GS 6.4 (468))

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 2003 GIBSON LES PAUL CLASSIC

2003 GIBSON LES PAUL CLASSIC Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: You are looking at a 2003 Gibson LP Classic with Gibson replacement pickguard(original one will be included) and custom made solid aluminum trussrod cover(original will also be included). Original 496R and 500T humbuckers with chrome covers sound awesome. Guitar is in very good condition with some playwear. Some minor dings and scratches present. Everything works perfectly. I am a collector and trader and I'm thinning the herd so to speak. Original case has broken latch as seen in photo(won't close) but otherwise in good condition. Case was dropped recently with guitar in it. This caused the seam where neck and heel are glued to split slightly. There was no crack involved, only an open seam which was promptly AND PROFESSIONALLY glued back by luthier at Guitar Center(receipt is enclosed in the case for verification). The repair is not easy to see unless you're looking for it. Repair is glassy smooth, please see photos. I also had luthier replace toggle switch which was cracked during fall. Guitar is in NO WAY affected by these repairs and plays like a Gibson Les Paul should, stays in tune fine. Guitar Center also checked the guitar over thoroughly, dressed frets and set guitar up with Ernie Ball 10's. Bid with confidence. One crazy buyer feedback ruined my perfect 100% feedback score. Please read my feedback if concerned. Guitar will be expertly packed for shipping using UPS ground. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE.EXTRA SHIPPING TO ALASKA AND HAWAII AND INTERNATIONALI WILL NOT ENGAGE IN ANY IMPORT/ EXPORT TAX EVASION SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME. THANKS. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 2009 Gibson Les Paul 1959 Historic AmberOrange AMAZING Flametop $1 NO ReSrv

2009 Gibson Les Paul 1959 Historic AmberOrange AMAZING Flametop $1 NO ReSrv Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: HOLY COW< YES Opening bid $1 and NO RESERVE. Well, the issue is TAX MAN time and I need to get my wife off my back too. SO, I'm offering this to highest bidder so GO NUTS and HAVE FUN, my my what a killer guitar!!!This is an AS NEW, just bought and stored away condition 2009 Gibson Les Paul Historic 1959 Limited Run (only 25 made) in a very gorgeous Amber Orangeburst GLOSS finish, never made before and no more made since!! Gibson was trying new colors back in 2009 to commemorate the 50th anniversary, so they made a few batches of cool colors. This is one of them.Look at the great flame top and Zebra pickups. I think the p/u's are 57 classics, but not sure. The dealer told me they were but whatever, they sound just amazing. Weighs an incredible 8 1/4 lbs with no weight relief or chambering!!! Yes, you're right, I shouldn't be selling this since Gibson's new 59s are being made differently now, starting in 2012. The rosewood fretboard is now laminated and not the traditional solid rosewood. Wonder what else they are doing differently with the new reissues? Just imaine what the price and collectiblity of the past Historics will be now that wood shortage is causing manufacturing changes!!!!Has the Certificate, all hang tags, case candy, and Gibson Case. Amazing collectible GUITAR!!The street price of these was $5900!!! WOW, killer deal. Will be shipped in a Gibson box well packed and secure.Fixed UPS ground shipping of $45 in continental USA. Other locations pay based on final destination and service requested. International bidder REMEMBER shipping is very expensive. I usually use USPS Global Express which hits around $170 except for Australia where I used FedEx which runs about $200 depending on insurance. However, some countries have size restrictions which the guitar box exceeds, so the Airmail Prioity service is next to use, but it takes longer, but is cheaper. Also, some countries have limited insurance by USPS (like max of $500 or $650), so be aware of the details. Thanks. On May-09-12 at 10:27:49 PDT, seller added the following information:Turns out they may have made a run of 59 of these. Back in 2009 Gibson Historic division made a few special run colors (Rustburst, AmberOrange burst, and a couple more cool colors) and made 59 of each to commerate the 50th anniversary. On May-09-12 at 10:49:27 PDT, seller added the following information:By the way, here's a link to a dealer who also has one: http://worldguitars.co.uk/les-paul-1959-50th-anniversary-amber-orange-burstI don't call mine a 50th anniversary since technically these special runs were not the featured anniversary model (that was only made in 2 colors, washed cherry and tobaccoburst and they came with gold certificates). But, these were in many cases called 'anniversary models' by dealers since made in 2009 and were very special.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: Absolutely MINT 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition w/ohsc perfect!!!

Absolutely MINT 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition w/ohsc perfect!!! Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition, Mint Serial Number 033561399 I am listing this guitar for a local friend who isn't familiar with selling on e-bay. His description follows. "Hello. For your consideration is my mint, un-played 2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition in the gorgeous Midnight Manhattan Blue color. This guitar has the slim, 60's style neck profile. I purchased the guitar new in February of 2007 from Guitar Center online and it was shipped directly to me in the original box - so it has never been in a store showroom. I did register the guitar with Gibson. I immediately took the guitar to Parsons Guitars in Seattle for an individual, professional set up. He said the guitar was very good, right out of the box, but did do some very minor setting adjustments to the pickups and intonation. While the guitar was at Parsons, I had them change the tuners out to the Gibson Green Key style and also swapped the truss rod cover to a plain one - for a cleaner look to the headstock. Otherwise, the guitar is totally stock. The original truss rod cover, with "Les Paul" engraved on it, will be included in the case. I did not keep the original tuners.I am a mid-50s business professional and have played acoustic guitar for a number of years, having acquired a small collection of guitars - all Taylors, actually. About 5-6 years ago, I had a temporary disillusionment of thinking I wanted to be in a band and went on a little "electric" buying spree. Well, of course, that didn't happen and what I wound up with is some very nice equipment that never got used. Wanting to simplify life a bit, I have decided to get rid of some things that aren't serving me. This Les Paul has been stored in its case in our smoke free home, in the guitar closet in my humidity monitored music room and was only taken out to change the strings occasionally (D'Addario XL 10s). So, the only "playing" time it has had is to strum a few chords to make sure it was in tune after re-stringing. Literally, only about 5-10 minutes total in it's lifetime. I will include a new package of D'Addario XL 10s with the guitar. You can find the list of specifications online but, basically, these were Les Paul Standards in Limited Edition colors, white binding (rather than the regular cream color) as well as having the binding continue around the headstock, nicer control knobs, and an ebony fretboard. Weighed on our digital bathroom scale, the weight of the guitar is 7.8 lbs. These models have the solid mahogany bodies - not the newer chambered style. The top wood grain, with a very mild flamed maple, shows nicely through the beautiful, deep translucent finish. If you are looking for an "as new" example of this Les Paul in un-played condition, then I think you will be very happy with this instrument. It will be shipped to you in the original Gibson case, which is also in mint condition, and in the original shipping box. Of course, all original case candy and paperwork will be included as well. " I have examined this guitar thoroughly and it is truly in perfect condition. Any blurs or smudges in the photos are simply reflections. This guitar is as my friend states....MINT!!!!!!Thank you for your interest and please feel free email with any questions.

Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1979 VINTAGE EBONY GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITAR

1979 VINTAGE EBONY GIBSON LES PAUL CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITAR Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: This is a great guitar! the guys at Guitar Center even said so. A vintage 1979 ebony Gibson Les Paul Custom with gold hardware. It has a smooth as silk action, because it was adjusted by a friend who used to repair and rebuild guitars for Martin. Yes, THE Martin guitar company. He knows what he is doing. The guitar has a bit of wear, because everything is original. In the some 20 years or so I've owned it, the instrument has been played little and never been played on stage. I have taken very good care of it over the years. And even on my little 15-watt amp, it has a sweet sound. On a regular amp, it is a monster. I hate to get rid of it, but I need the money more than the guitar now. The price is $3,000. Les Paul Guitars Auction: 1979 Gibson Les Paul KM wow!!

1979 Gibson Les Paul KM wow!! Le Paul Guitar Auction Description: Here is a sweet Gibson Les Paul KM (Kalamazoo Model) electric guitar, in very good condition. Made in the USA in 1979. 10 lbs 4 oz playing weight. These were some of Gibson's earliest attempts at a model that incorporated features of the late 50's Les Pauls. These are one of the only Gibsons you will ever see with Gibson exposed double cream colored bobbin pickups, as Dimarzio owns the trademark for that color combination. All stock and original, no mods or repairs. The headstock has not been broken or cracked. Nice rich resonant sound. There are lot of belt buckle marks in the back, dings and scratches around the edge, and strum marks and dings on the face. The electronics work 100%, no problems. Still has the shielding "cans" in the control cavity, around the jack, and in the switch cavity as well. The back of the neck has some small dings. The frets have been leveled, and look and play clean. Nice straight neck plays just fine. Includes the original hard case, and it has been a very long time since I have seen an original Gibson Pro 1 case with all latches and hardware intact. Shipping to Australia and South America will be very expensive, $350 or more. Buyer pays actual shipping. It will be well packed and fully insured. Thanks for looking and please check out our other auctions. International OK but you will pay the additional shipping and insurance charges. We ship UPS in the USA, and DHL or Priority Mail everywhere else. Priority Mail not available everywhere, please check with me before bidding international. For international shipping quotes, you must include your COUNTRY, CITY, AND POSTAL CODE. You will also pay duty (customs)on the full bid value.
